Privacy Policy

As a security company, we take our reputation for confidentiality and privacy very seriously. We understand the importance of respecting your privacy and securing your personal information. At no time will Monitoring Plus let your personal information be used for anything unrelated to our alarm monitoring business.

When you register for a monitoring account, or as a contact for some one's monitoring account, we record your name, phone numbers, and e-mail contact information. We need these contact details so we can send you alarm alerts and notifications. From time to time, we will also let you know about new features or changes to our services by e-mail. You can view and update your contact details at any time by logging on to our Web Portal and viewing the My Contact Details page.

If you register for a monitoring account, we also record the physical address and phone number of the property where the alarm is (or will be) installed, and if you choose, an alternative postal address. These are used for installation and monitoring purposes, and in particular, you physical address is used to identify your property when sending alarm alerts and notifications. To view or update these details, go to the Location Profile page in the Web Portal. If, during the sign-up process, you ask us to recommend an alarm installer, your contact details and property location will be made available to an alarm installer. In addition, for billing proposes, we collect further information including a separate e-mail address for billing purposes, and bank account details (through the Direct Debit Authority form). These details can be viewed and updated on Billing Details page in the Web Portal. Note that information relating to your bill payment history and credit worthiness may be disclosed to credit or debt collection agencies.
