When your alarm goes off, our central station automatically starts sending messages to the people on your alarm response contact list. You can respond in several ways depending on if you are able to investigate the alarm or not, or if you suspect that it's a false alarm. If no one responds within 90 seconds (or a different time you specify), messages are sent to the next person on your list.  This continues until someone responds, or there are no more people on the list.
We are linked to a nation-wide network of patrol companies, and can provide patrol call-outs over most of the country. It's easy to add a security patrol to your contact list to have qualified security personnel respond to alarms when you aren't able to, or if you just prefer the reassurance that someone is responding to alarms so you don't have to.
Alarms have traditionally used the phone line to report activity to the monitoring station. The problem is that they don't work well with modern digital (VoIP) phone lines used with Naked DSL, wireless internet or Orcon+ Network connections. At Monitoring Plus, we keep pace with technology and are experts at internet based monitoring. So, there's no problem if you've upgraded to a digital phone line, we can still proved a secure and reliable monitoring solution.
Custom alerts are unique to Monitoring Plus, providing additional security for your home or office. These features improve your security beyond simply reporting burglary activations by providing notifications of normal arming and disarming events that occur at possibly suspicious times. You have full control to set-up your own alerts that are unique to your situation to track if particular people arm or disarm the alarm within, or outside, particular times of the day or days of the week.
Through our Web Portal you can set-up and control all aspects of your alarm monitoring, including convenient and easy access to your contact list. No more waiting on the phone to talk to your monitoring company just to change contacts before you go away on holiday. Just log-on and reorder you contact list in seconds! You can also view the recent activity on your alarm, and customise your settings to make your monitoring service work exactly the way you want it to.
